COMPANY PROFILE
Austraflora, founded by its present Managing Director
Joan Rampolla, has been a successful player in the
palms and cycad horticultural business for over twenty years.
The
company initially concentrated on Australian native
species. During the 1980s the company had an established
network of nurseries throughout Italy that regularly
purchased seeds, seedlings and plants of Kentia,
Araucaria and Cycads. In the 1990s, the steady market
demand for indoor ornamental palms was accompanied by a
desire for change and venture in new species. Favoured
by the rather suitable Italian climate, Austraflora
started to diversify its supply to satisfy the new
market needs. By the end of the 1990s, Austraflora had
introduced a whole new range of species, which was no
longer limited to Australia.
Today
Austraflora has expanded its operations and is able to
supply superior quality seeds, seedlings and plants from all over the
world at highly competitive prices. Austraflora also has a nursery located in the
South of Italy, which specialises in palms and, inter
alia, rare cycad varieties.
Our
current client nurseries export their germinated seeds
and plants to several countries across Europe, including
the UK, France, Belgium and Germany.
Austraflora is present at the major European Flower and
Plant Exhibitions including Padova, Italy, Giardini
Naxos, Italy, Essen, Germany and Valencia, Spain. |
